OUR MISSION

For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with police, fire, and EMS departments across Central Texas to advocate for, identify, and fund critical needs that enhance public safety. From essential equipment and training to wellness programs and community initiatives, we’re committed to supporting those who protect our communities.

OUR VISION

Founded in 1997 by civic leaders Admiral Bobby R. Inman, Ralph Wayne, Roy Butler, and Fred Ligarde, our organization has evolved from the Greater Austin Crime Commission into today’s Central Texas Public Safety Commission. We work with local business and civic leaders dedicated to public safety excellence, serving as the region’s only organization focused exclusively on supporting first responders through direct resources, advocacy, and relationship building.

CHIEF LISA DAVIS

Austin Police Department

As Austin continues to grow, the Austin Fire Department relies on partners like the Central Texas Public Safety Commission for aid. CTPSC supports the fire service through equipment purchases necessary to meet the needs of our community, by providing meals during training, and by securing sponsors for award and recognition events. The Commission helps take care of the people who take care of the people, and for that, I am very grateful.

FIRE CHIEF JOEL BAKER
