Sgt. Ben Mewis, inspired by the positive impact of the APD Pet Team on his shift, has created a 72-mile run from Guadalupe River State Park to the Texas Capitol to raise funds for the program. Taking off on March 23 and arriving mid-morning the next day, his goal is to raise $4,000 to support the team’s ongoing efforts.
